Aleksandr Mikhailovich Yudin (March 22, 1931, Orenburg Region – April 17, 2009)
During the years of the Eighth Five-Year Plan, he achieved particularly high results. Yudin’s average annual output for picking up and threshing windrows was 550 hectares, for mowing – 333, and he threshed 10,860 centners of grain. In 1968, while working on the SK-3 combine, A. M. Yudin threshed 10 thousand centners of grain and was awarded the Order of Lenin for this. In 1970, working on the SK-4 combine, he mowed an average of 26 hectares per day, and threshed windrows on an area of ​​674 hectares, receiving 13,817 centners of grain.
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 8, 1971, for outstanding achievements in the development of agricultural production and the fulfillment of the five-year plan for the sale of agricultural and livestock products to the state, Aleksandr Mikhailovich Yudin was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the gold medal “Hammer and Sickle”.
A. M. Yudin was one of the founders of socialist competitions of family harvesting units – a form of labor organization that contributed to the transfer of skills from generation to generation. In 1974, he made a call: “The whole family – to harvest.” A. M. Yudin’s unit included his son Anatoly, who graduated from the Pokrovsky Agricultural College, and his brother Nikolai, who lived in Orenburg but came to harvest crops for several years in a row. In 1976, he was awarded the Order of the October Revolution.
In 1977, Yudin and his unit took on the obligation to thresh 50 thousand centners of grain on two harvesting units. At that time, they worked at the Boyevoy state farm, in the Saraktash district, in the Kvarkensky district. In total, they threshed 40 thousand centners. There were still 10 thousand missing, so they were sent to the Amur region to collect soybeans. There they threshed the missing 10 thousand centners and fulfilled the obligation. Upon returning, A. M. Yudin and his unit were awarded the title of laureates of the USSR State Prize. In 1979, he transferred to the position of the head of the machine yard. During this period, he took an active part in the life of the Chebenkovsky state farm. In 1991, he retired, but continued to work for another 10 years and at the end of 2000, he retired. He lived in the village of Chebenki. Until his last days, he took an active part in the patriotic education of the younger generation. He died on April 17, 2009.

In the center of the village of Chebenki, a combine harvester SK-4, which he worked on, was installed as a monument. In 2001, after the reorganization of the agricultural artel “Chebenkovskaya”, the farm was renamed into the SPK named after A. M. Yudin. The Municipal Formation “Orenburg District” has established the Personal Prize of the Hero of Socialist Labor A. M. Yudin, which is awarded annually to the best young machine operator of the district.
