A commemorative (thank you) jetton for a donation for the development of the air force, at least three rubles at a time. In 1904, a “Special Committee for the Strengthening of the Navy on Voluntary Donations” was established in Russia. In 1909, an air force department was opened under the committee, and in 1912, special badges and jettons for donors were established. In the three years since its inception, the air force department organized the first military aeronautics schools in Russia (in Sevastopol and Gatchina) and purchased 90 airplanes abroad. All this was done with voluntary donations.
