The Order of Glory was a military decoration of the Soviet Union established by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet on November 8, 1943. It was awarded to soldiers and non-commissioned officers of the Red Army as well as to aviation junior lieutenants, for bravery in the face of the enemy.

Citation for Order of Glory 3rd class:
During the battles against the Nazi invaders on the approaches to Berlin and in Berlin, Comrade Petrov acted boldly, courageously and selflessly. In street battles in Berlin on April 22 and 23, 1945, he destroyed 6 German soldiers with machine gun fire. On May 1, 1945, in a battle for a fortified building, he destroyed 1 light machine gun and 5 German soldiers.
Citations for orders of Red Star:
In battles from January 15 to January 20, 1945, acting in the lead outpost in the battle for the settlement of Mednevice (Poland), he destroyed 15 German soldiers and officers, demonstrating courage and bravery.
In battles on the territory of Poland and Germany from January 14 to February 10, he proved himself to be a courageous, honest, and brave warrior. He always walked ahead of his fighters and with his example of courage and bravery inspired the fighters of his squad to military exploits.
During the attack on settlements on the territory of Germany, he destroyed 20 German soldiers with his personal weapon. His squad destroyed 50 German soldiers, suppressed 5 firing points, captured 10 enemy soldiers, 10 rifles and 2 machine guns.
