Southwest of Tarutino, German tank destroyers attacked a line of tanks and began firing. All the vehicles in the column quickly dispersed, including Comrade Yakubovich, who parked his vehicle under a tree. German planes set fire to a barrel of fuel and ammunition that was on the vehicle. After the barrel exploded, the entire vehicle began to burn. Comrade Yakubovich started the burning tank, but since the vehicle had become very hot, Comrade Yakubovich, after many persistent efforts, moved the vehicle and drove the vehicle against the wind at maximum speed, thereby putting out the flames. Comrade Yakubovich stopped the vehicle and finally extinguished the burning engine and rollers with a fire extinguisher and earth. With his brave behavior and skillful actions, Comrade Yakubovich saved his vehicle, which will return to service after the rollers are replaced. For his heroism and skillful actions, Comrade Yakubovich is worthy of the government award of the Order of the Red Star.
