  • Medal For Military Merritt. 1944 issue. Very good condition. Uncut connecting ring.

Documents:

  • Order book, filled-out on November 28 1946. The date for the start of the award recipient’s privileges is December 1944.
  • SMERSH document issued to Major Pavlichenko. Mega rare. Signed by Head of SMERSH department of Pacific Ocean fleet.
  • Document allowing free rides on railway and water transports.

The awards and documents are in very good conditions. Rare group to high rank SMERSH officer who received his WW2 awards for action on Pacific Ocean ( fighting with Japan). SMERSH (СМЕРШ – acronym of “death to spies” ) was an organization for three independent counter-intelligence agencies in the Red Army formed in 1942 but officially announced only on 14 April 1943. The name SMERSH was coined by Stalin. The main reason for its creation was to subvert the attempts by German forces to infiltrate the Red Army on the Eastern Front.
